After a seven-week trial and five days of deliberations, the jury also found him neither guilty of sexual assault against any of the women who testified at the trial nor of false imprisonment.

The six charges against the 82-year-old former fashion boss involved four women and a 16-year-old girl for actions between 1988 and 2005.

As he left the courthouse, Peter Nygard’s attorney, Brian Greenspan, did not rule out the possibility of an appeal.

The sentence imposed on the Finnish-Canadian millionaire will be announced later.

In addition to the Toronto trial, the ex-designer faces similar charges in two other Canadian provinces, Quebec and Manitoba.

He is also expected to be extradited to the United States, where he will face charges including racketeering and sex trafficking for acts between 1990 and 2020.
