The PQ will table a motion on Tuesday on the controversy that has Canada talked about around the world.

Recall that at the invitation of the Speaker of the House of Commons, a 98-year-old Nazi veteran of Ukrainian origin was applauded during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the House of Representatives – an “unjustifiable and inexplicable” event, according to PQ head Paul St- Pierre Plamondon.

“It’s an international embarrassment,” he said, lamenting that Canada has become “the laughingstock of the entire world.”

The text of the PQ motion, which will be debated on Tuesday afternoon, calls on the National Assembly to distance itself from the Canadian Parliament and reaffirm its solidarity with the Jewish people and the victims of the Holocaust.

Mr. St-Pierre Plamondon believes House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota will have no choice but to resign while the Liberals, NDP and Bloc Québécois all call for his leadership.
