This Friday (31st) Trump’s accusation moved the corridors of politics. Among Republicans, even likely opponents of his in next year’s presidential election, such as Florida Gov. Ron de Santis and former Vice President Mike Pence, have said it amounts to political persecution. On the other hand, Democrats said the indictment shows no one is above the law.
President Joe Biden declined to comment.
