The WWE Championship has been held by several legendary Superstars over the years. In the last five years, SmackDown’s Bobby Lashley has done this twice, and it took him nearly 16 years to do it.

However, The All Mighty recently revealed that it didn’t take long for him to earn seven figures.

On the Millionaire Goals podcast, Bobby Lashley explained how other superstars in the Stamford-based promotion approached Vince McMahon for a raise, but he never took that route.

Instead, Lashley worked hard and “earned” what came his way. He even shared one of his favorite quotes: “The harder I work, the luckier I get.”

“On my last raise, Vince [McMahon] He brought me and said to me, “I’ll pay you this.” When I first got into development, I was given money to “make ends meet.” I just needed the opportunity, that’s all I need. Just give me a chance, I’ll make my money later. “I started working my butt off, and once I was on TV, I went from making little money… I think I hit seven figures in my second year in the industry,” Lashley said.

A little over a year after his WWE debut, Lashley won the ECW Heavyweight Championship in December 2006. He even played a supporting role at WrestleMania 23:

“I’m not the person who kisses ass, I’m not the person who chats, that’s me. It’s me for the waiter, it’s me for the CEO. I am the same person. You can’t fake it. They look at our company and say, “He’s playing a character, he’s trying to be something, he’s a politician, this guy is real.” That’s me. The crowd gets it and that’s why people support me.”
