Gold medalist in Friday’s 500m and team sprint, the long-distance speed skater won the 1000m this afternoon. Dubreuil won in 1:09.278 ahead of Korea’s Seong Hyeon Park in 1:09.838.
American Conor McDermott Mostowy had shared the second-fastest time with Dubreuil, but was disqualified for not yielding to the Lévis skater on the first traverse.
Christopher Fiola was fourth in a time of 1:10:660.
