The Israeli army announced the deaths of four more soldiers killed in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning, bringing the total number of soldiers killed in fighting in Palestinian territory since the ground offensive began to 180. A total of 514 IDF personnel have been killed since the deadly attack by Hamas terrorists on October 7.
Sergeant Roï Tal, 19, from Kfar Yehoshua, a soldier with the 94th Battalion of the Kfir Brigade, Reserve Sergeant Yakir Hexter, 26, from Jerusalem, a soldier with the 8291st Engineer Battalion of the 551st Brigade and Reserve Sergeant David Schwartz, 26, from Elazar, a soldier with the 8219th Engineers of the 551st Brigade, was killed in fighting in southern Gaza on Monday.
Reservist Sergeant Gavriel Bloom, 27, of Beit Shemesh, an engineer soldier with the 36th Division, was also killed in fighting in the central Gaza Strip on Monday.
In addition, during the battle in which Sergeants David Schwarz and Yakir Hexter were killed, a reservist from the 8219th Engineer Battalion, 551st Brigade was seriously injured. A combat officer and two reservists from the engineer team of the 36th Division and two reserve officers from the 646th Brigade were seriously injured in the fighting in the center of the Gaza Strip.
