FPÖ Angerer: The finance minister will go down in history as a “source of debt”. Liberal Parliament Club

This government’s budget does not respond to inflation and the cost of living

Vienna (OTS) – “This federal government has led our country into a national crisis. And this crisis has a cause. The best of both worlds – black and green!” This is how FPÖ NAbg business spokesman Erwin Angerer summarized yesterday’s budget speech by ÖVP Finance Minister Magnus Brunner. This will go down in history as a “source of debt”. spent money from four state budgets, causing debt to explode from seventy to eighty percent of gross domestic product. Angerer: “The Austrian government compares itself to Italy, even though this country has always had financial problems and is currently 150% in debt We should first look at Sweden. There, the national debt has dropped by one percent! The finance minister is already talking about debt relief, although all economists are assuming stagflation, and recession will come after that.”

Angerer cannot imagine that a reduction in government debt is feasible in the near future: “This federal government has no answers when it comes to inflation and rising prices. She didn’t put on a single accent to fight the causes. In return, the country and its citizens will be burdened further with illegal mass immigration and a CO2 tax.”

“The order of the day should therefore have been to avoid inflation. The ÖVP and the Greens should have turned to Switzerland’s fiscal policy, which has inflation of only 3.3%, and does not support the EU’s debt and excess money policy, as well as the senseless sanctions policy against Russia, which hurts our own economy the most.” Angerer is convinced.

During the Corona period, only the pharmaceutical industry and Chinese mask production were promoted, but not the domestic healthcare system, criticized the liberal business spokesman. The SPÖ, which now acts as a major critic of the government, actually supported most of the decisions in Corona and is therefore not credible.

Erwin Angerer once again called for the rapid implementation of an electricity price cap. The government’s argument that this would also lower the price of electricity in neighboring countries is apparently not correct. Thanks to its own agreement with Russia, Hungary currently has the lowest energy prices in Europe. But there is no sign of that in Austria.

Finally, the FPÖ business spokesperson put the energy transition into play: “Photovoltaics and wind should save us. Most of the raw materials come from China. We use it to steer from one facility to the next . And just to remind you: China is with Russia.”
