Throughout her career, France Castel has given everything, shared everything, with rare generosity. At 79, the presenter, actress and singer feels the urgent need to preserve her secret garden. Always in the news with her numerous projects, she always inspires more than one and, in her own way, offers a different face of aging.

“I decided not to tell my personal story anymore because I did it. It’s not modest. I prefer to be a little ashamed. We did a trilogy at Radio-Canada with Monique Giroux and France Beaudoin: I read my book myself. I think I have said everything about my intimate life, my personal history. I don’t want to look back on my life anymore. At some point it becomes indecent. There was a moment when I told myself that because it could help me, it could help others. But that’s enough now. I close the book.”
