While part of the 25th edition of the classic Le Mirage golf and bike club, France D’Amour made rare confessions about her personal life in an interview with 7 Jours magazine.
She says she has been single for about 8 years. And although she has no man by her side, she finds her life fulfilling. “There is nothing to say about my loved ones. It doesn’t work But I know a lot of single, happy girls. And there are other examples, like my musician on the drums: he’s been with his wife for 25 years. He met the right girl, it works well and he’s a good guy. It’s not like that for me, and that’s okay,” she revealed.
In addition, she puts all her love into creating her next album. “It’s going to be called 14 because I have a song called 14 but also because it’s my 14th record and I’m 14 mentally! she jokes.
“From January to March I wrote the lyrics and the music for all the songs. I’ve already recorded half of the album. I’ll finish the other half between shows,” she said.
She will also hear two of these new songs in concerts in the summer. “I’m thinking about what will move people in the audience, what they need to hear to lift their spirits. They have to sing the song when they hear it for the first time,” she says.
The album is due out next winter.
