French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal judged on Tuesday that there was “reason to question whether Vladimir Putin's troops are not already stationed in France,” taking particular aim at Marine Le Pen in a tense battle in parliament with the MP, the favorite the 2027 presidential election.

The leader of the French far right asked the head of government about the statements of Emmanuel Macron on Monday evening, who indicated that he did not rule out the hypothesis of sending Western troops to Ukraine, arousing the reluctance of several European countries.
“Emmanuel Macron has taken another step towards belligerence and represents an existential threat to 70 million French people and especially to our armed forces already stationed in Eastern Europe,” she said.
