Frank Ocean will be replaced by Blink-182 at Coachella

After a disappointing performance on the first weekend of the Coachella festival, singer Frank Ocean will be replaced this weekend by the group Blink-182, Variety revealed on Wednesday.

According to a rep for the singer-songwriter who spoke to the magazine, Frank Ocean injured his leg and suffered two broken bones during the first week of the festival, leading to the cancellation of his second show.

Last weekend, the singer took the stage at Coachella an hour late. He then performed mostly seated, dropping some of the songs festival-goers had come to expect before closing the show.

No immediate explanation was given for this poor performance, which even caused Justin Bieber to fall asleep standing up in the crowd, according to a video recorded by a person attending the concert, which quickly went viral.

“After sustaining a leg injury at the festival site in the week leading up to the first weekend, Frank Ocean was unable to pull off the planned show but still wanted to perform. […] On the advice of a doctor, he will not be performing on the second weekend,” a rep for the artist told Variety.
