“It’s incredible, I’m speechless. I felt so much joy today, she said in an interview, an excerpt of which was shared by PR firm Artifice. I was lucky to be the last [du groupe] for skiing and I was able to adjust my route by choosing a different line. I told myself it was my day while proving I could have fun.
Second overall, Dufour-Lapointe will look to cement his spot at the next event, Kicking Horse, British Columbia, later this month. If she manages to stay in the top 5, she will compete in the finals scheduled for March in Fierberbrunn, Austria, and Verbier, Switzerland.
The circuit, founded in this country in 1996, offers its athletes, skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to launch themselves from high peaks in a completely natural environment, with no set route.
