Free, easy and relaxed! Rafael Cardoso is enjoying his single phase after 16 years of marriage. The actor enjoyed a night out at Vitrinni nightclub in Barra da Tijuca, Rio West Zone, on Sunday, the first day of the year. There he was walking loose and was spotted kissing a model.
The girl in question is Emmilly Ruthe, 23 years old, who lives in the same condominium where the actor lived with his wife Mari Bridi in Itanhangá. The girl herself even posted a video on social media where Rafael received a kiss on the cheek.
According to EXTRA sources, the two really stayed and already knew each other. In early December, the heartthrob announced the end of his marriage to Mariana Bridi, mother of the actor’s two children.

In an interview with the podcast Papagio Falante, hosted by Sérgio Mallandro and Renato Rabelo, he spoke about the rumors that he had betrayed his ewife.
“She has forgiven me many things. We have many agreements when we are married. I prefer not to talk about it, but yes, she has forgiven me several times, as I have forgiven her. That’s how marriage is: one gives in here, the other gives in there,” the actor replied to a netizen’s question.
“I’m not even going to embarrass her here. I’m done with her, she was very upset with the things that came out in the press, like I said I was ‘single’, they put it in my mouth…” he added added.
During the interview, Rafael spoke about the single phase: “I was very happy with my wife, with the family that we had in this format. The family just changed their format. We’ve always been very friendly and I want it to stay that way. Of course life changes. I reconnected with many friends. But I take this time more for myself. To breathe and be happy with my own company.
“I didn’t even remember what song I liked without being with her. So it’s a saving grace for myself,” he added.
Rafael was recently diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a heart condition, and is currently using an internal defibrillator. He reports that he even suffered from cardiac arrhythmia as a result of the separation.
“I even suffered, the breakup made me nervous and I got an arrhythmia. I felt bad, a bit like having a panic attack, but it passed,” he said.
After announcing the end of his marriage, Rafael met up with friends at a bar in Barra da Tijuca, Rio West Zone, where he watched Brazil’s match against South Korea for the World Cup last Monday the 5th. He was photographed enjoying a beach with his children.
News of Rafael’s split resonated widely on social media after the actor declared himself a “bachelor” at a festival in Rio’s South Zone. Soon after, Mariana issued a statement on Instagram confirming the split. “Rafael Cardoso and I are no longer a couple,” he wrote. They are the parents of 4yearold Valentine and 8yearold Aurora.
The actor currently shares an apartment in Barra da Tijuca and the farm he bought in 2017, which is located near Cachoeira de Macacu in Rio state.
