Friends of missing Katy Perry songwriter Camela Leierth-Segura fear she has been KIDNAPPED: ‘My worst fear is someone will have her and hurt her’

Friends of missing Katy Perry songwriter Camela Leierth-Segura have expressed fears she may have been kidnapped.

Leierth-Segura, 48, was last seen on June 30 in the middle of the night off Robbins Drive in Beverly Hills, California.

Six weeks later, there is no trace of the singer, who originally comes from Nederluleå in Sweden. Friends and family are increasingly concerned.

Cecilia Foss told The Independent she fears someone has kidnapped Camela and is holding her somewhere.

“My worst fear is that someone will have her and hurt her,” Ms Foss said, saying it was out of character for the musician to disappear.

After Camela’s sister filed a missing person’s report, it was revealed that she had recently been evicted and was struggling with money.

Another longtime friend, Liz Montgomery, was alerted by her sister in Sweden, prompting her to request welfare.

Police responded to her last known address in Beverly Hills, where the landlord told them she had been evicted.

“She had mentioned to all of us that she had problems; “Covid definitely hasn’t been helpful to her because she’s a musician, model, actress and all that stuff,” Ms. Montgomery previously told the Los Angeles Times.

Adding, “And no money came in.”

“When I woke up in the morning, I already got a text that said, ‘Hey, did you talk to Camela?'” Montgomery said, recalling the day she first became concerned about her friend’s whereabouts.

Another friend who was actively involved in the search says she believes something bad has happened to the musician.

“I’d like to believe nothing bad happened, but do I think something bad happened?” “Yes,” friend Cecilia Foss told the Southern California outlet.

Neighbors shared Foss’ concerns and said it was unusual for her to remain silent.

Harrison Silverman, who lived nearby, said he spoke to Leierth once a week but hadn’t heard from her at all since June.

Shiva Bagheri said she hadn’t seen her car for more than a month.

Friends and neighbors said she struggled to pay her rent before she disappeared, but they didn’t think she would just get up and leave.

“She means the world to us and time is of the essence.” “Her family in Sweden asks for your support,” Montgomery wrote on Instagram.

“We are very concerned for her safety and despite our best efforts, local authorities have not been able to locate her,” a friend posted on Instagram.

Leierth is best known for her collaborations with “Teenage Dream” singer Katy Perry. In 2013, the Swede-born co-wrote the song “Walk On Air” for Perry’s “Prism” album.

Released as a single, the song debuted at number one on the iTunes chart in the US and has been described as having a ’90s sound.

In an interview with MTV at the time, Perry said of the single, “It’s my favorite song off the record.”

Beverly Hills police told the disappearance is still under investigation.
