Jennifer Aniston has clarified the truth about a viral salad recipe she’s reportedly enjoying every day while filming Friends.

The 53-year-old actress denied ever posting the food from Lovely Delites food blogger Hannah, which went viral in May.

When asked about the popular recipe after it made waves on TikTok, Aniston told Elle magazine: “Well, this salad, dare I debunk that? This isn’t the salad I had at Friends every day.

“I feel horrible because it’s literally stripped out like crazy and it looks like a delicious salad by the way, but that’s not the one I had on Friends.”

For the salad — which is a unique twist on a traditional Cobb — Hannah topped a bowl with red onions, cucumber, pistachios, fresh parsley, fresh mint, and a can of chickpeas.

As for the Marley & Me star being up for trying the viral salad, Aniston added, “To be honest I would never have that many chickpeas in a salad. Not good for the digestive tract.”

Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are a type of legume rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and protein. Eating legumes offers many health benefits, however, cooked chickpeas contain complex sugars and fermentable oligosaccharides that can be difficult to digest and are not fully absorbed from the gut.

Raw chickpeas, on the other hand, contain toxic substances that are not well digested.

The salad was first linked to Aniston in 2010 when Her Friends co-star Courteney Cox revealed details about it in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

The Scream star, 57, explained at the time that Aniston would make it any day for her female castmates.

In the viral TikTok video, Los Angeles-based home cook Hannah claimed the salad is perfect for practicing slicing skills as the ingredients are finely diced for maximum flavor.

“It was a Cobb salad that Jennifer topped with turkey bacon and garbanzo beans and I don’t know what,” she shared. “She’s just really good with food, which really helps. Because if you eat the same salad every day for 10 years, it better be a good salad, right?’
