The dishes look particularly juicy in the first pictures of the second season of the cooking competition restaurant. The 12 aspiring restaurateurs facing each other at the starting line will be pushed to their limits and the challenges they will face don’t seem easy.

The show, hosted by Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc and Vincent Dion Lavallée, will be back at Zeste on Thursday, October 19th at 9 p.m. The first version was the biggest ratings success for the TVA Group’s specialty channel.

For this new season, the Sphere Media team, in collaboration with Quebecor Content, offers an improved recipe. First change: Prospective restaurateurs must win all three rounds to qualify for the $50,000 grand prize. Remember that participants not only have to satisfy the taste buds of Chef Vincent Dion Lavallée, but also hit the mark with customers in a real restaurant context. Each week one of the chefs must return their apron at the end of the main service.
Le Restaurant goes beyond a traditional culinary competition and taps into multiple facets of the contestants, including their cooking talent, adaptability, management skills and ability to withstand stress.
Filming of the nine episodes took place at the Théophile wine bar in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville in Montérégie.
