Salvador left the São Paulo Rio de Janeiro axis and gained international fame by being included in the list of capitals with the most famous ice cream parlors in the world.
The gastronomic encyclopedia TasteAtlas published last Friday (21) the selection of the 100 largest establishments in the world selling quality ice cream. In the capital of Bahia, Da Ribeira ice cream parlor stood out, taking the centerpiece of the edition.
The publication noted that the Salvador eatery and Belém’s Cairu ice cream parlor were chosen because they left “an indelible mark on the world dessert scene.” The ratings of the ice cream parlors or ice cream parlors were not disclosed, but the ratings were based on the site’s votes, filtered for the international gastronomic audience.
For TasteAtlas, Da Ribeira ice cream stood out for its tapioca ice cream with an explosion of flavors and a delicious batter. Despite its international orientation, the flagship of the establishment is ice cream based on Brazilian fruits.
In Pará, the Cairu company distinguished itself as being “more than just an ice cream shop, a symbol of regional pride and an ambassador of the flavors of the Amazon to locals and visitors alike.” The Açaí ice cream managed to balance the sweetness with the acidity and became one of the most recognizable ice cream flavors on the list.
