Front! The lead singer surprisingly reveals the true meaning behind the lyrics to her hit song Accidently Kelly Street

Front! Lead singer Angie Hart has revealed the true meaning behind the lyrics of the ’90s hit song Accidently Kelly Street.

The band are celebrating 30 years of their album Marvin The Album and have announced an anniversary tour of the country later this year and into 2024.

Appearing on Channel Nine’s This Morning on Thursday, Hart explained that their bop Accidently Kelly Street was written by bassist Tim Connor, who moved into a house on Kenny Street – but he thought it was Kelly Street.

When asked why she still thinks the track is such a hit, Hart said, “I think because it’s outrageously positive, that’s one of the reasons we picked it in the first place.

“Tim, our bassist, wrote it and he had a particularly great time in his life when he moved into a house on Kenny Street, which he thought was Kelly Street, and he wrote a song about it.”

Hart also admitted that the reason they accidentally misspelled it wasn’t on purpose, they just got it wrong.

“It’s misspelled by mistake,” she laughed.

When asked what people can expect on their anniversary tour, guitarist Simon Austin said it will be a fun experience with all their classics

Speaking to Today Extra last November, Angie said her favorite song of all time is Ordinary Angels.

“I carry that very deep in my heart,” she said of the tune.

“This song was written after a huge argument and we wrote it in tears because we hate each other and made this song up about being yourself.”
