Fuerza Regida, the group with which Shakira released “El Jefe,” canceled a concert in Tijuana due to death threats NTN24

Controlled strength, The regional American music group from Mexico, which recently released “El Jefe” alongside popular Colombian singer Shakira, is making headlines around the world.

However, the Californian group has become trending on social networks for a completely different reason than their hit music song with the Barranquilla singer, which has already accumulated more than 46 million views on the YouTube platform.

The Californian group had to cancel one of their shows in the city of Tijuana, Mexico, due to threats from a well-known Mexican drug cartel.

In a statement, the cast of “Sabor Strawberry” explained that their performance this Friday, October 6, in the city of Tijuana has been canceled due to “Reasons beyond our reach.”

Although in their short statement the band does not talk about the threats received from the criminal group Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), several Mexican media outlets assure that this was the real reason why the group had to cancel their performance.

This is due to the leak of a photo showing a banner with a threat from the CJNG towards the American group.

“This is for you bitches from Fuerza Regida. We will present them with their “mother” on October 6th in “TJ.” It will be her last appearance in her dog’s life. They show up that day and we kill them. Att: CJNG”is the message that is read with the threat on the screen.

The canceled concert, which was scheduled to take place this Friday, was scheduled to take place at Caliente Stadium.

However, The appearance of this threatening message would have led the interpreters of “El Jefe” and their team to decide not to perform the show.

It is not the first time that an artist’s presentation in the city of Tijuana was canceled due to threats from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, as a few weeks ago the Mexican singer Peso Pluma also had to do the same after receiving warnings.

The posters containing these threats, some of which are signed under the name CJNG, state: “This goes to you at featherweight. Please refrain from presenting on October 13th as this will be your last presentation.”

For her part, Tijuana Mayor Montserrat Caballero said that the local prosecutor’s office is conducting appropriate investigations into the cartels that may have been created by organized crime gangs or another person.

The mayor also said that the threats could be due to this “We know that singers like Peso Pluma advocate crime, so there are certain groups that are upset and unfortunately those who suffer the consequences are the citizens who want to attend their concerts and take a risk.”
