Trump for revenge has come

Further investigations into Donald Trump

Donald Trump became the first president in history to be impeached on Thursday for buying a porn actress to remain silent in 2016.

Here’s a point on the other disputes with the judiciary of whoever is seeking a second term in 2024.

The attack on the Capitol

A parliamentary committee dissolved by the new Republican majority was investigating the Republican’s role in his supporters’ assault on the seat of Congress on Jan. 6, 2021, when elected officials certified his rival Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.

In high-profile hearings, the Democratic-majority body said the former president cheered on his supporters before the coup and “failed to fulfill his duty as commander-in-chief” during the attack.

In its final report, the commission said Donald Trump should never be able to hold new public office after inciting his supporters to insurgency.

Its members also recommended that the federal courts institute criminal proceedings against him, specifically for inciting insurrection.

This is the file that is likely to lead to the most serious charges.

A special prosecutor, Jack Smith, is also investigating the former president’s role in attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. At the end of his investigation, he could recommend whether or not he should be charged.

But Attorney General Merrick Garland will have the last word.

The 2020 elections in Georgia

A Georgia prosecutor has been investigating “attempts to interfere with voting” in that southern state since 2021, which Joe Biden won by a short head in 2020.

In a phone call, a recording of which was made public, Donald Trump had asked a senior local official, Brad Raffensperger, to “find” nearly 12,000 ballots in his name.

Fani Willis, district attorney for Fulton County, which includes Atlanta, appointed a grand jury to determine if there was enough evidence to indict the real estate magnate. She managed to gather testimonies from her relatives, particularly her former personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani.

That grand jury recommended indictments against several individuals without revealing whether the former president was among them.

The White House Archives

When Donald Trump left the White House, he took entire boxes of documents with him. However, a 1978 law requires all American presidents to submit all their emails, letters, and other working documents to the National Archives.

In January 2022, he returned 15 cards. After an investigation, federal police estimated he was likely keeping others at his luxurious Mar-a-Lago residence.

On August 8, FBI agents conducted a spectacular search on warrants for “withholding classified documents” and “obstructing a federal investigation,” and seized about thirty other boxes.

An intense legal battle was then opened to determine the nature of the documents seized (classified? personal? declassified?), slowing the process, but again, federal indictment remains a possibility.

Special Prosecutor Jack Smith is also investigating the case.

His financial affairs in New York

In January, the Trump Organization in New York was fined up to $1.6 million for financial and tax fraud, a first for the group, which faces an even larger civil lawsuit in the fall.

At the head of the New York State Judiciary, Letitia James, an elected Democrat, has indeed filed a complaint against Donald Trump, his children and the Trump Organization.

She accuses them of “deliberately” manipulating the valuations of the group’s assets – including golf clubs, luxury hotels and other properties – in order to obtain cheaper loans from banks or lower taxes.

On behalf of the state, she is demanding $250 million in damages and bans on running companies for the ex-president and his relatives.
