Hulu won’t need to bite Bender’s shiny metal ass as voice actor John DiMaggio makes a comeback deal FuturamaThe revival of 20 episodes.
“I’m back, darling!” DiMaggio said in a statement approved by Bender. “I am so grateful for the love and support of both fans and colleagues all this time (especially my wife Kate) and I can’t wait to go back to work with my Futurama family. #Bendergate is officially over, so put it on the back of a shelf behind Christmas decorations, or maybe in that kitchen drawer with all the other crap you put in there like old useless crazy glue, or maybe even put it in a jar that saves you farts . Whatever’s floating in your boat, I don’t care, you know. I’M BACK, DEAR! GIVE ME THE GLOSSY METAL ASS! ”
Although Di Maggio voices the mostly cheeky robot Bender, he also brings to life a number of minor characters. He joins returning vocal actors Billy West, Katie Sagal, Tress McNeill, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamar and David Herman.
Futurama, the story of a pizza delivery man who accidentally freezes for 1,000 years, originally aired for four seasons (1999–2003) on Fox. Five years after the show was canceled, Comedy Central revived it for three more seasons (2008-2013).
When news of possibly less DiMaggio Futurama crashed last month, fans immediately gathered behind the voice actor, prompting him to explain his troubled contract negotiations.
“Just to be clear, I don’t think I’m the only one who deserves to be paid more. I think the whole cast is doing it, “Di Maggio tweeted on February 16. “Negotiations are a natural part of working in show business. Everyone has a different strategy and different boundaries. Their “price”. Some accept offers, others maintain their positions. “
