Fuzuê, Furdunço and Pipoco again take place in Salvador; know when

Popular festivals with personal audiences such as Lavagem da Bonfim and Iemanjá will be back in Salvador in 2023 after being suspended in recent years due to the Covid19 pandemic. There will also be two preCarnival events on February 11th and 12th.

Called Fuzuê and Furdunço, the projects take place in the afternoon, Saturday and Sunday before the official opening of the party, bringing crowds of costumed revelers and entire families to the BarraOndina circuit. In the last edition in 2019, the events had the participation of 100 attractions.

What’s more, Pipoco takes place on the Tuesday before Carnival, when singer Léo Santana brings the popcorn junkies back to the streets of Barra.

The official carnival days in Salvador are February 1521 and promise to be the biggest in history. The opening attraction has already been decided: Ivete Sangalo, who will draw the popcorn junkie.
