Gabrielle Union reveals her daughter mistook Beyonce’s Renaissance tour for a BLUE IVY concert: ‘I had to explain that to her’

Sharing a hilarious story from her mother-daughter date to Beyonce’s Renaissance tour, Gabrielle Union told People that her 4-year-old daughter Kaavia James Wade thought it was a Blue Ivy concert.

The 50-year-old actress joked: “I had to explain to her that Blue was only a small part of the concert.”

Gabrielle’s mini-me, who she shares with her former NBA star husband Dwyane Wade, 41, is “obsessed” with Blue, according to her mother.

According to the “Bring It On” star, her daughter was “delirious” with joy at the opportunity to stay up past her 7 p.m. bedtime, since Beyoncé didn’t take the stage until around 8:30 p.m.

However, Kaavia lost interest when the actual headliner took the stage, and Gabrielle recounted how “Blue comes and when she’s gone and Beyoncé comes back, she’s like, ‘Where’s Blue?'”

Continuing the story of Blue Ivy’s biggest fan, the memoirist added that Kaavia was “eager to get back to her best friends, and we’re right there watching the queen do her thing on the biggest stage, and Kaavia says, ‘Blue.’” is gone? The mom is cool, but she hasn’t even sung “Single Ladies,” Gabrielle explained.

Meanwhile, the Union Wade household’s Renaissance world tour is called “the Blue Ivy concert,” according to the “Bad Boys II” star.

The concert was a family affair, attended by the former Miami Heat point guard and the couple’s 17-year-old daughter, Zaya.

All joking aside, the Cheaper By The Dozen starlet highlighted why it was so important to her and her husband to take their daughters to the Beyoncé concert in the first place.

For Gabrielle, “creating those pivotal, lifelong memories and being able to provide her with what my parents provided for me” was crucial when it came to celebrating Kaavia’s birthday.

The Renaissance Tour experience was also a treat for Zaya, according to her first-class mother.

‘[Zaya] “I’m the biggest Beyoncé fan and she was at Club Renaissance and had the time of her life,” the Cradle 2 The Grave actress noted.

She also gushed about the Cuff It singer’s star power, saying, “Bey is such an amazing woman and performer and it was a huge celebration that felt like something that went way beyond a concert.”

The author of “We’re Going To Need More Wine” felt like she had an “afterglow” from the concert for a few days after the family’s get-together.
