The 24the The Les Olivier Gala is a thing of the past and Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais emerges as the grand winner of the evening, winning three statuettes including Olivier of the Year.
Despite the comedian’s hat-trick, no one can ignore Katherine Levac’s performance at the gala.

Full of humor and killer lines, Levac’s opening monologue is causing a lot of conversation on social networks.
The gala began with a pre-recorded comic capsule featuring several stars including Klô Pelgag, Paul Arcand and Philippe-Audrey Larrue-St-Jacques.
Katherine Levac then started with her introduction, which generated a lot of conversation.

She humorously talked about her motherhood, her pregnancy and the difficult work-life balance, while showering her husband, who we saw a few times during the gala, with a few jokes.
The comedian continued firing a few arrows at the center of Quebec humor and Radio-Canada, recalling that she was only the second woman to host the Les Olivier Gala.
“What did she do that they didn’t hire other women for 22 years? That must have been really serious…” the host launched at the start of the gala.
“I’m a Canadian Francophone and LGBTQ+ woman… Imagine if I was still fat! She [Radio-Canada] would fall apart,” she added.

Levac’s performance on Sunday night did not go unnoticed. The audience seems to have enjoyed the animation.

Finally, Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais went with the Olivier of the Year and two other statuettes for his show Jokes Chapeau Maman Magic Piano.

For his part, Arnaud Soly made his mark this 24th Les Olivier Gala by winning two Oliviers for the Club Soly program and his COVID Christmas capsule.
He also offered a hilarious skit starring Virginie Fortin. One of the highlights of the evening!
