Samsung is expanding LE Audio features, including more immersive audio recording on smartphones, clearer audio experiences on PCs, and now sharing audio on TVs with more people
Samsung Electronics has announced new software updates for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro earbuds and Samsung smart TVs[1], revamping the audio experience for even more connected devices. The new updates expand LE Audio capabilities to Samsung TVs with Auracast streaming audio technology, enabling rich and complex audio transmission to nearby Bluetooth devices.
LE Audio, an industry-leading Bluetooth audio standard, expands the spectrum of audio experiences, delivering more complex, richer sound that goes beyond the best possible music sound, allowing users to share it with others while experiencing it themselves. As a pioneer of innovative technologies, Samsung is leveraging new LE Audio features that further enhance the audio experience, including 360-degree audio recording, which allows Galaxy smartphone users to record video audio exactly as they hear it, without professional equipment. In addition, some Galaxy Book3 devices[2] Deliver a crystal-clear listening experience with improved latency – perfect for immersive gaming and media consumption.
And now Auracast streaming audio technology is rolling out to Galaxy Buds2 Pro earbuds and Samsung QLED Neo 8K 2023 and MICRO DEL 2023 TVs via software updates starting in September[3]Samsung develops and extends connected experiences beyond mobile devices to home appliances. Auracast allows users to turn their device into a shared radio station that can broadcast to connected devices. Using LE Audio, users can now connect multiple sets of earbuds to one TV[4] whereas before they could only connect two at most. Auracast opens the door to a wide range of device use cases and possibilities – from enhanced and functional listening in a theater or lecture hall for those who want to hear better, to sharing a playlist on your smartphone while running with friends, or even multilingual support without a translation device by sending translations in different languages through different channels.
“As an innovator across a wide range of electronic devices – from smartphones to connected devices and from TVs to home appliances – our position here at Samsung is unique in that we can deliver simpler and richer experiences,” he said Junho Park, vice president and head of the Galaxy ecosystem product planning team, MX Business, Samsung Electronics. “LE Audio is a perfect example and testament to our commitment to connected experiences across our range of devices and how Samsung is introducing features and technologies that bring them together. »
The new Auracast feature is just one example of how Samsung connects devices and services and offers users innovative experiences. Look for more exciting announcements about Samsung’s connected experiences, which the company will unveil at this year’s IFA event in Berlin, September 1-5.
