SEOUL, 30. (Yonhap) — The unveiling of a new flagship smartphone series from Samsung Electronics Co., Galaxy 23, is imminent, with the Unpacked 2023 event scheduled for February 1 (US time) in San Francisco, USA is planned. The eyes of observers will be on the performance of these smartphones, which are said to be the ambitious works of the electronics giant.
These new smartphones will be 100% equipped with a state-of-the-art processor, the 2nd generation of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8, with a resolutely sophisticated optical sensor, ISOCELL HP2 for better performance and the reinforced glass marketed by Corning since November last year ., Gorilla Glass Victus 2, is integrated to increase resistance.
Roh Tae-moon, head of Samsung’s smartphone (MX) division, gave a self-assessment of this Galaxy S23 series, talking about “products that focus more on our fundamental and indispensable experiences in daily life” and adding that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the best of the best.
According to the forecasts of the German medium WinFuture, which specializes in the ICT sector, the three models of the Galaxy S23 will have a Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen of 6.1 inches for the base model S23, 6.6 inches for the S23+ and 6.8 inches for the S23 Ultra feature . In addition, the brightness of the screens should be 1,750 nits at a frequency of 120 Hz.
The S23 and S23+ models are equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 12 GB for the Ultra model. Internal storage will be 128GB and 256GB on the S23 and 256GB and 512GB on the S23+. The micro SD slot will not be available for the series. A choice of 3 storages is offered for the Ultra model: 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.
Battery capacities are 3,900mA (S23), 4,700mA (S23+) and 5,000mA (S23 Ultra), while an S Pen stylus will be integrated into the Ultra model. Four colors will be available for the series: Phantom Black, Botanic Green, Mystic Lilac and Cotton Flower.
Prices will be higher compared to the previous series. A general increase of 150,000 won (around 112 euros) would be planned for all models. According to WinFuture estimates, the prices for the Galaxy S23 series in Europe should be 949 euros (S23), 1,119 euros (S23+) and 1,399 euros (S23 Ultra).
