The big hero is Melgar’s qualification for the semi-finals of the Copa Sudamericana Carlos Caceda. The 30-year-old goalkeeper not only kept a 90-minute clean sheet, but also had the luxury of saving three penalties in the deciding shoot-out against Internacional de Porto Alegre at the Beira Río stadium.
A colossal action that was praised not only by journalists and their colleagues, but also by Peruvian channels and even by a soccer player from the national team. In this case, it’s Blanquirroja goalkeeper and captain Pedro Gallese.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper used emojis to describe Carlos Cáceda’s performance against Internacional de Porto Alegre. He left several emojis of a face with hearts in his eyes, clearly “in love” and mesmerized by his teammate’s saves. Similarly, Diego Penny chimed in, writing “great Uncle Chani.”
