In the current scenario, growing concerns about sustainability and climate changeBold and innovative measures have been proposed around the world to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize environmental impact.
As such, the United States, as one of the largest economies in the world and a major emitter of carbon, has received particular attention in terms of its environmental policies. Products at risk include gas stoves due to their pollutant emissions.

For Brazilians in particular, it is difficult to imagine that stoves can do without cooking gas. Even with significantly more modern devices, traditional models are still the favorites in our country.
Although this product, so well known for food preparation, has been present in homes for decades, it is the subject of a possible ban that should start in the United States.
Because ovens that run on LPG are among the products that emit the most polluting gases. Due to daily use, such gases are emitted every day.
When natural gas or LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) is burned, carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere. These gases are responsible for the global warming and climate changes we are currently experiencing.
In addition, the combustion of gas can release small amounts of air pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx) and carbon monoxide (CO), which contribute to air pollution and affect the quality of the air we breathe.
Options for replacing the gas stove
electric stove
Electric stoves obviously use electrical energy to heat the plates or coils that the pots sit on. They are widespread and easy to use, but their impact on the environment depends on the power generation source in the region.
So if the energy comes from renewable sources such as sun, wind or hydroelectric power, the electric stove is a more sustainable option.
induction cooker
Induction cookers use electromagnetic fields to directly heat metal pots or pans. They are highly efficient as they only heat the cooking vessel, reducing energy wastage. However, you need special pans that are compatible with induction technology.
