Gaza Men and children are held naked in a stadium

Gaza: “Men and children are held naked in a stadium”. Mystery surrounding the video that accuses Israel

A video is circulating on social media showing Palestinian men, including at least two children, being held without clothes by Israeli forces in a stadium in northern Gaza. This was reported by CNN, which, noting that the video was edited, explained that one image shows two children forced to undress, remain in their underwear and interact with other men, including teenagers to put in a row. CNN, which says it was unable to verify when the video was taken, used geolocation to determine that the images were taken at Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City.

The NGO Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said it had received reports of arrests at the sports complex. The video also shows imprisoned women and other children: In one image, three women, clothed and blindfolded, sit with their hands tied behind their backs in front of the soccer field net, which has an Israeli flag on it. Next to them are other men in their underwear and blindfolded.

The Israeli military has in the past advocated forcing detainees to undress to ensure they are not carrying hidden explosives. The video was uploaded to YouTube on December 24 by Yosee Gamzoo Letova, a photographer and artist, according to his Facebook profile. Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said it had received information that the Israelis were holding hundreds of Palestinians from Gaza City's Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the stadium and that there were dozens of women. “Palestinian men, including 10-year-old children and elderly people over seventy, are forced to take off all their clothing, remain in their underwear and stand in a humiliating manner in front of the women detained in the stadium,” denounces the organization NGO that supports the international calls on the community to investigate the images from Yarmouk Stadium.
