“Continued artillery and air strikes in the Tel al-Hawa area of Gaza, where the Al-Quds Hospital is located,” the organization said on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“The building is shaking and displaced civilians and work teams are in fear and panic,” she added.
The Red Crescent had already reported bomb attacks in this area on Sunday evening.
The hospital director told AFP that he had received orders to evacuate from the Israeli army.
The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) called the call “deeply worrying” and said it was impossible to evacuate a hospital without endangering patients’ lives.
“We reiterate that it is impossible to evacuate hospitals full of patients without endangering their lives,” wrote Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on X.
According to the Red Crescent, the hospital complex houses not only patients but also 14,000 people who have sought refuge there to avoid Israeli attacks.
Israel has repeatedly accused Hamas of using hospitals to hide weapons or fighters. The Palestinian Islamist movement has categorically denied this.
