David Schwimmer and Jesy Nelson competed for Stand Up To Cancer on Sunday’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off, but viewers loved each other.
In the first round of the charity issue, 56-year-old actor David was branded a “legend” by fans as he competed in the famous tent to raise money for the cancer that had previously struck his family.
The Friends star admitted he had very “low expectations” for his cooking skills as he “doesn’t bake” at home, but David seemed to surprise himself throughout the show.
Competing with former Little Mix singer Jesy, comedian Rose Matafeo and actor Tom Davis, the celebs were tasked with baking six savory cakes, six delicious macarons and a 3D meringue of a celebrity fail scene.
After each round, David won every single challenge, including the Star Baker Award, and managed to bag Judge Paul Hollywood’s coveted Hollywood handshake.

David admitted before baking, “I make dinner, lunch, but I don’t bake. My friends and family are very happy for me, they are big fans of the show.
“I don’t bake from day to day or year to year. My expectations are so low that I think I could be really good for myself.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement as he presented his showstopper before being presented with his own Stand Up To Cancer apron in recognition of his impressive culinary skills.

During the charity baking show, David spoke about how cancer has affected his family and said he’s “grateful” that he can help raise money with a small amount.

He explained: “I’m here to have fun and raise money for a great charity. I lost a grandmother to cancer, my daughter lost her grandmother to cancer, my sister survived cancer, so I care.
“I’m grateful that I can do a little bit to help raise awareness.”
Meanwhile, singer Jesy, 31, was slammed multiple times for a series of baking mistakes during the Channel 4 charity show.
Viewers quickly took to Twitter to call out Jesy for mispronouncing macarons and only baking three macarons in total.

While baking and rolling out her pastry, Jesy said, “How do I know what it should look like?”
Prue said that ‘it doesn’t seem like you know what you’re doing’.
The singer quickly replied, “It’s my technique. It’s terrible that you’re helping me. I was really hoping for the handshake, but it’s not going to happen, is it?
Later in the show while making her showstopper, Jesy admitted she had no idea how to separate eggs when trying to make a meringue.
The show was the first in the latest series of the popular baking show, which aims to raise vital funds to fund cancer research and support services in the celebrity special.
