‘My cup is full’: Gemma Collins insists she ‘needs’ no Christmas presents this year as she urges loved ones to swap expensive presents for donations to charity and quality time
Gemma Collins has changed her usual Christmas routine by cutting costs for the holidays this year.
The 41-year-old TV personality revealed this week that she “doesn’t need” lavish gifts and would rather donate the money to charities, adding: “My cup is full”.
And on her own advice, the star has chosen to gift her loved ones with sentimental products rather than high price tags.

Speaking to The Mirror about the upcoming celebrations, Gemma explained that it’s “the smallest things in life that matter most”, while debunking her reputation for being high-maintenance.
The big day comes amid the UK’s cost of living crisis, as many families can’t afford the daily bills, let alone a lavish split.
And considering that, the TV personality told the publication, “It’s been a really tough year for a lot of people, and it’s like they’re just remembering that people don’t always remember what you buy them, but they will remember a moment .’
Gemma insisted she “needs or wants” no gift and has asked her loved ones not to “buy me anything”.

That is the ghost! Gemma has certainly gotten into the festive spirit this month and has even dressed up as The Grinch Christmas character
“I’d rather, and I’ve told everyone so, make a donation to an animal charity for myself. Even if it’s five pounds. I don’t want anyone to feel pressured this year with everything that’s going on. So this year I’m just doing small things that mean more,” she explained.
Gemma goes on to say she will be gifting on a more sentimental level this year, giving the example of her best friend – who will be receiving framed pictures from her trip to Tenerife for Christmas.
But despite the cuts in gifts, Gemma has paid for the Christmas dinner, which is being prepared by a private chef, in full.

The former TOWIE star has hired a chef to prepare the meal for her family, who will all get together to spend the dhow together.
“Looking forward to having all the family around, obviously with the Covid we’ve missed all that,” she added of her 10 expected guests.
And despite the expense of private catering, it’s going to be a very traditional Christmas Day for the family, who sit down to watch classic television during the day.
The star is looking forward to watching British television favorites such as Gavin & Stacey, Only Fools and Horses and EastEnders on the special day.
