Fox News senior strategic analyst Gen. Jack Keane (ret.) argues that Biden’s military budget “doesn’t even take inflation into account.”
Fox News senior strategic analyst Gen. Jack Keane (ret.) slammed Biden’s military budget as US adversaries remain a threat, arguing “we need to step up and face the reality here” during his appearance at Varney & Co. The Wednesday.
GENE. JACK KEANE: We have a serious problem here. President Trump has tried, has begun to dig us out of the hole that the 9/11 wars have put us in. The current defense budget is four percent, or $31 billion, more than last year. Just listening to your report doesn’t even take inflation into account. So obviously it’s actually a reduction when you apply inflation to it.

PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS SAY AGAINST BIDENS PROPOSED MILITARY BUDGET
And what is actually in the budget? Think of the Navy that wants 500 ships to deal with the threats that are out there. They go from 298 ships to 288 ships in that budget. The Air Force, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, is the oldest and also [the] smallest air force we’ve had in decades and the army grows from 485,000 to 473,000 soldiers. Look, given the threats we have with China, Russia, and Iran. That makes no sense. We have to get up here and face reality.
