General Hospital star Haley Pullos, 24, says she’s “taking a break” from soap opera after DUI

A General Hospital star who was charged with drunk driving after an accident in California last month has been replaced on the series, with her character now being played by a strikingly similar actress.

Haley Pullos, 24, seriously injured another driver in the April 29 accident and had to be pulled from her own vehicle in fatal claws.

Last week, Pullos announced she would be taking a leave of absence from the show while she recovers from the crash – with no set date for a return.

It was announced on Wednesday that Pullos’ role on the long-running soap opera has been transferred to a similar actress, Holiday Mia Kriegel.

A spokesman for ABC said the station would not comment on the situation at this time.

Police said they found small bottles of tequila and cannabis edibles in her car Holiday Mia Kriegel also previously worked on the CBS show Bull alongside Michael Weatherly

Pullos was traveling on the 134 Freeway in California just before 1:30 a.m. on April 29 and was involved in a head-on collision.

She collided with an Oldsmobile being driven by a 27-year-old woman from Fontana in the west lane before crossing the median.

The Oldsmobile driver suffered no serious injuries.

The actress made a turn and ended up in the eastbound lane, where she collided with an oncoming Kia traveling at 60 mph.

The 23-year-old woman who was driving the Kia suffered serious injuries.

According to a police report, Pullos was unable to leave her 2019 Ford.

The Pasadena Fire Department had to use all their strength to extricate Pullos from her vehicle before taking her to Huntington Hospital.

When firefighters managed to save her, she became aggressive, punching one and yelling, “That’s a freaking $400 shirt.”

Police searched her vehicle and discovered marijuana edibles and miniature bottles of tequila. She was taken to the hospital before being arrested for drunk driving.

At the hospital, she reportedly became aggressive again and fought with hospital staff before requiring a sedation.

Images shared by the Pasadena Fire Department show the horrific damage caused by the night’s incident, which both drivers luckily survived.

The fronts of the cars are completely destroyed, and debris from the accident is scattered across the highway.

Alongside their post, the department said: “Arriving units found two vehicles involved, one person trapped, following a reported head-on collision.”

“Firefighters extricated a person from a vehicle and provided patient care and hospital transport for the occupants of both vehicles.”

“Always a reminder to obey the speed limit, avoid drinking and driving, and never be distracted by passengers, phones, etc.”
