In the program Les Coulisses du Bye Bye we noticed that the sketch in which the actor Stéphane Rousseau was supposed to play was removed from the final version of Bye Bye 2023. Therefore, the actor does not appear in the final version, which will be presented on December 31st.
We found out he's not the only STAT cast member who was axed from the popular year-end magazine. In fact, actress Geneviève Schmidt should also appear in the credits. We can also see her briefly in the show Les Coulisses alongside Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais.
Very little is known about this withdrawn sketch other than it was one of the first filmed by the Bye Bye team this year. We can see images of the inside of a house, then those of a family sitting around a dining table. Geneviève Schmidt's character sits at the end of this table drinking a glass of wine while a little boy blows out the candles on his birthday cake at the suggestion of Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais.
This gives us little clue as to what the sketch was about.
