Marking the twentieth anniversary of the star’s relationship with Laglio, Mayor Roberto Pozzi told Repubblica: “Clooney was to Laglio what Brigitte Bardot was to Saint Tropez or Karim Aga Khan to the Costa Smeralda. On the shores of Lake Como, George Clooney “has found love and loves to have the most intense family moments. Here he likes to tend the vegetable garden, has an oven for baking pizza and cooks good pasta. In short, he is an acquired Italian: it is not for nothing that he has been an honorary citizen of Laglio since 2004”.
