“Looking back, I’m pretty proud of myself,” she said.

“It was a very scary time and I didn’t know it was normal to have these feelings, so I’m very open in case anyone else is going through it. Now I have the confidence to say I’m a great mom.

The interview comes after Georgia detailed how she’s been struggling with her weight gain following the arrival of her firstborn on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast last week.

The reality star admitted she was so naïve when it came to being pregnant and urged women to stop pressuring other women when they are pregnant.

She explained: People throughout my pregnancy kept saying, ‘You’re going to get back on your feet, you’re going to get back on your feet.’ I wish they hadn’t said that.”

“I would encourage men and women to stop doing this. I saw these pictures on Instagram of girls walking out of the hospital with six pack abs.

“When I came out of the hospital still looking pregnant, I thought it was weird.”

Georgia’s initial scan had shown Brody to be in breech presentation, so she opted for a cesarean in favor of the water birth she was planning to have.

Speaking of her post-pregnancy body, she said: “I remember looking in the mirror and looking pregnant and holding my stomach like I was pregnant. But the difference was that I had a child and a scar. I thought why am I not like this?

“It really hit me, I didn’t get it. I remember crying. I didn’t look like myself. I remember crying and I remember looking at my stomach – the stretch marks were really bad – the scar looked angry and my hormones were everywhere.

“I remember being in my pajamas and I didn’t want to get out of them or show anyone, and then after talking to my mum about it for a couple of days, there was a shift and I was glad I got one baby had born. It lasted about a month.

She added: “I definitely had postnatal depression. I was really struggling – the weight didn’t help as I didn’t look like me. I could see myself, but I didn’t look like myself.”
