Actor Gerald Castillo has died at the age of 90.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, his wife Dayna Quinn-Castillo announced that her husband died on May 4 at his Houston home.
Castillo’s numerous credits include playing Mario Lopez’s on-screen father, Major Slater, in two episodes of the hit series Saved By The Bell.
His impressive resume includes roles on legendary television shows All In The Family, Dallas, Dynasty, M*A*S*H, The Jeffersons and Dragnet.
The Chicago-born actor studied acting and directing at the Goodman Theater before beginning to perform on stages across the country alongside the likes of Rita Moreno and Sherman Hemsley, according to THR.

He made his screen debut in a 1978 episode of The Jeffersons.
