Gia Giudice Slams Uncle Joe Gorga For 'opportunistic' Reunion With Her Father

Gia Giudice called her uncle Joe Gorga for posting his reunion with her father Joe Giudice on social media after years of slamming him on Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“It’s honestly weird knowing you weren’t even with him for 5 minutes and [were] able to have someone take a video of the interaction while you were just talking so bad about my dad,” wrote the would-be lawyer, 22, in the comments section of Gorga’s Instagram post.

“you are such a [sic] Opportunist to take the golden opportunity to see my father and use it for a post.”

On Sunday, Gorga, 43, posted a clip of him hugging his former brother-in-law, 50, during a vacation in the Bahamas – where Joe lives after being deported from the US – and captioned it: “They both went to the same bar same time.”

Gorga posted his reunion with Joe on Instagram.

The former brothers-in-law seemed very happy to see each other.

Gorga said he was “glad” someone videotaped the interaction.

“There’s a lot of history there,” he added. “We have memories since we were kids. I’m glad he’s doing well and looking good. We were both happy to see each other and catch up. Glad someone caught it. #live #rhonj.“

Both men seemed happy to see each other and had big smiles on their faces. (Joe was previously married to Gorga’s sister, Teresa Giudice, for more than two decades and the exes share four daughters, including Gia.)

However, after Gia slammed her uncle for sharing the public encounter, Gorga wrote back, “We both said horrible things about each other. It was a beautiful moment. We have a lot of history. Take the hate out of your heart.”

Eagle Eye fans noted that Gorga’s wife, Melissa Gorga, appeared to have written the clap-back comment first. However, the “RHONJ” star later denied itwho says her husband accidentally wrote it from her account.

This isn’t the first time Gia has publicly clashed with Gorga over his remarks about her father. In a heated episode of RHONJ season 12, the sophomore called her uncle “disrespectful.”

Gorga had a long history of issues with Joe, stemming from claims that his brother-in-law drove a wedge between him and his late father.

Joe was married to Gorga’s sister Teresa Giudice from 1999 to 2020. The ex-partners share four daughters, including Gia.FilmMagic

The real estate developer also accused the disgraced businessman of “[putting] [his] Mother in her f–royal tomb” after his sister, Teresa Giudice, was jailed for fraud, which was due in large part to Joe’s actions.

Gorga has defended his harsh criticism of Joe, saying on a March 2022 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that his intention was to protect Teresa, 50.

“Before that day my sister told me they were getting divorced and she tells me all these things that he said to her,” the stand-up comedian previously explained.

“So I’m sitting there thinking about all of this, and then we had this episode a few days later, so I explode and it’s my sister — I’m trying to protect her.”

The reality star told Us just four months ago: “We don’t talk that much now but it’s fine. I am sure that somehow we will move forward.”
