Gigi Hadid and her family “receive death threats and are forced to change their phone numbers” after expressing support for Palestine

Gigi Hadid and her family have reportedly received death threats after expressing support for Palestine online.

The half-Palestinian model, 28, has been vocal on social media in recent days about her support for the state amid the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Gigi – whose famous father Mohamed Hadid is Palestinian – was subsequently heavily criticized by the Israeli government for her contributions in support of the Palestinian people.

It is now claimed that Gigi and her family have been receiving death threats and have reportedly been forced into action because of their support for Palestine.

According to TMZ, Gigi and her family, including sister Bella and parents Yolanda and Mohamed, had to change their phone numbers due to the threats.

Sources told the publication that the family received horrific threats via email, social media and their phones after their numbers were reportedly leaked online.

It has also been claimed that property developer Mohamed is considering contacting the FBI over the spate of death threats.

In addition to Gigi, Yolanda and Mohamed share daughter Bella (27) and son Anwar (24). Mohamed also has children Marielle (43) and Alana (38) with his ex Mary Butler.

Web has contacted representatives for Gigi, Bella, Yolanda and Mohamed for comment.

Since the terrorist organization Hamas, once democratically elected by the Palestinian people to lead the Gaza Strip, attacked Israel on October 7, the death toll on both sides has risen to 4,000.

Since then, Israel has launched retaliatory strikes against the Gaza Strip and cut off electricity to the small area home to over two million Palestinians, raising fears that the impoverished population will be plunged into further misery.

Gigi expressed her support for the Palestinian people over the weekend when she posted a graphic about the recent conflict on her Instagram Stories.

It said: “There is nothing Jewish about the Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians.” “Condemning the Israeli government is not anti-Semitic and supporting Palestinians is not supporting Hamas.”

Her father Mohamed also shared the same graphic on his own Instagram grid with the caption: “Just so simple.”

However, the Israeli government quickly changed its position and published a response to Gigi’s comment about the conflict in its Stories.

It said: “There is nothing brave about Hamas’s massacre of Israelis.” “Condemning Hamas for what it is (ISIS) is not against Palestine and supporting Israelis in their fight against barbaric terrorists is the right thing to do. “

The State of Israel account then directed the comments specifically at Gigi, tagging her account and writing, “Have you slept in the last week?”

“Or is it okay for you to turn a blind eye when Jewish babies are slaughtered in their homes? Your silence has made it very clear where you stand. We see you.’

The Israeli government posted a picture of what looked like a blood-stained floor next to children’s toys and wrote: “If you don’t condemn this, your words mean NOTHING,” Gigi tagged again.

In another post on her Instagram grid, Gigi expressed her condolences to both her Palestinian and Jewish loved ones while commenting on the conflict.

She wrote: “My thoughts are with everyone affected by this unjustified tragedy and every day this conflict claims innocent lives – too many of them children.”

“I feel deep compassion and sorrow for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation, it is a responsibility I carry daily.”

“I also feel an obligation to my Jewish friends to make it clear, as I have done before: while I have hopes and dreams for the Palestinians, none of them include the suffering inflicted on a Jewish person.”

“Terrorizing innocent people is not in line with the Free Palestine movement and does not benefit it.

“The idea that this is the case has fueled a painful, decades-long cycle of back-and-forth retaliation (in which no innocent civilian, Palestinian or Israeli, deserves to be a victim) and helps perpetuate the false notion that that Pro-Palestine = Anti-Palestine -Semitic.

“If you are hurting, I send you my love and strength – whoever and wherever you are, and today I extend my condolences to my loved ones, both Palestinians and Jews.”

“There are many complex, personal and valid feelings, but every person deserves basic rights, treatment and safety; regardless of their nationality, religion, ethnicity or place of birth.

“I know my words will never be enough to heal the deep wounds of so many, but I always pray for the safety of innocent lives.”

Her father Mohamed, who has posted a number of posts in support of Palestine, re-shared her message on his own Instagram page.

After the Hamas massacre, Mohamed released a statement on Instagram blaming Israel for the unimaginably bloody Palestinian terrorist attack.

“This less human Bibi and the far-right government of this Zionist state are 100 percent responsible for creating this massive escalation between the occupied and the occupiers,” he wrote, showing a picture of far-right, pro-settlement Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

While many supported Mohamed’s message, some were quick to admonish him for posting such a message on the day of the Hamas attacks.

Two days later, he posted a picture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the caption: “Let me be clear: I condemn the killing, taking hostage or ill-treatment and torture of civilians.” Arab Muslims, Jews or Christians.

“And complete disapproval of the occupying power’s treatment of the occupiers.”

Born in 1948 in what is now Nazareth, Israel, Mohamed previously said he took it upon himself to ensure that each of his children understood and respected their Palestinian identity.

Gigi’s younger sister Bella has yet to comment on the recent conflict, but has openly expressed support for the Palestinian cause in the past.

In June 2022, she posted on Instagram: “I will never let anyone forget our beautiful Palestine or our beautiful people.”

“Every day I wish I could go back in time to when I was a child so I could start fighting for Palestine sooner,” she continued. “For my family, for my elders, our history and for the people of Palestine who still live under this treacherous, exhausting and painful occupation.”

Meanwhile, in October 2022, Gigi and Bella’s younger brother Anwar spoke about his support for the Palestinian cause when he graced the cover of GQ Middle East.

Anwar and a friend also co-produced a film that GQ Middle East called “an eye-opening new documentary that cuts through the noise and highlights the pain and power of Palestinian resistance.”

“The idea came to us to humanize the Palestinian people and make our voices heard without judgment, in a way that is free and representative of the people… and then it kind of evolved from there,” he said.

Israel has announced unprecedented retaliation against the Palestinian terror group Hamas after its militants stormed the border fence on October 7 and shot hundreds of Israelis in their homes, on the streets and at an outdoor music festival.

The Israeli government has launched a full-scale retaliation for airstrikes on Gaza, stopping the flow of food, water, fuel and medicine to the area.

The hundreds of people killed in Hamas attacks include 260 revelers shot dead at a music festival and families – including children and babies – massacred at a kibbutz.

Israeli air strikes on Gaza have killed 900 Palestinians, the territory’s health ministry said last week.
