Gigi Hadid arrested for marijuana possession in Cayman Islands

Gigi Hadid was arrested under the accusation of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after being flown to the Cayman Islands from the United States last week. According to reports from TMZ, the model landed on a private jet at Owen Roberts International Airport on July 10. And she paid a thousand dollar fine to be released.

Customs and border control officers searched and scanned his bags. They found a small amount of grass and accessories. Although border police ruled that the marijuana was for personal use only, Gigi Hadid and her friend Leah McCarthy were arrested for “importing marijuana.”

She was tried at the Royal Cayman Islands Detention Center where she was granted bail. She was later released pending trial. The model was fined a thousand dollars and her criminal record showed no evidence of the incident, according to TMZ.
