stay supportive. Despite her separation from Zain Malik and his drama with her family, Gigi Hadid sent the singer a Father’s Day message.
“Happy Father’s Day to my sweet Baba,” the 27-year-old model wrote on her Instagram Story on Sunday, June 18, alongside a commemorative photo of her with her own father, Mahamed Hadid. “I love you!”
The photo below showed Malik, 29, and her daughter, Khai, 21 months, playing with some craft supplies. “& to Khais Baba!!!!” Gigi captioned the snap.

The sweet news comes months after the family made headlines over the “Pillowtalk” singer’s falling out with Gigi’s mother. Yolanda Hadid. In October 2021, he was charged with four counts of molestation following an alleged altercation with the 58-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.
“As you all know, I am a private person and I am very keen to create a safe and private space for my daughter [Khai] growing up in,” wrote the X Factor graduate. “A place where private family matters aren’t thrown onto the world stage for all to pick apart. In an effort to protect this space for you, I have agreed not to contest any claims arising out of an argument I had with a family member of my partner who entered our home while my partner was away a few weeks ago. “
In a separate statement to TMZ, the English native said, “I firmly oppose smacking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give further details and I hope Yolanda reconsiders her false allegations and herself.” will endeavor to heal these family troubles in faith.”
After filing no appeal, he was sentenced to 90 days probation for each of his four offenses (360 days total) and ordered to complete an anger management course and domestic violence program.
Multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly that the couple, who have been in an on-off relationship since 2015, quietly split in October amid the legal drama.
As of January, an insider exclusively told us that Malik and Gigi were living “on amicable terms” during the split.
“Gigi and Zayn are on good terms,” the source revealed. “They’ve been in each other’s lives in one way or another for the past few weeks.”
The ex-boyfriends struggled to keep their lives private for Khai and wanted to handle custody themselves. “There’s no custody battle going on right now — they’re just trying to work things out as co-parents,” the insider said.
