Gisele moved to Boston and scaled back her runway and campaign work after her 2009 marriage to then-New England Patriots quarterback Tom.
But now she's back in the spotlight as she's about to release her latest cookbook, Nourish: Simple Recipes to Empower Your Body and Feed Your Soul.
Co-written with experienced cookbook author Elinor Hutton, it is aimed at people with families who want to supplement their weeks with more nutritious meals.
Gisele now eats as little meat as possible and said, “I can offer some things that I have learned that have helped me and my family,” she tells me. “I'm just a mom who leads a very busy life, and I think a lot of women can relate to that.”
In addition to healthy eating, Gisele's daily routine usually begins at 5 a.m. when she walks her dogs, followed by meditation.

Also this month she helped create a smoothie for the trendy organic market Erewhon.
The price of the drink is a staggering $19, which is well above the hourly minimum wage in the United States.
Many comments were positive, like this one: “I'm so excited for the debut of the Giselderberry Boost Smoothie!” Thank you for highlighting the power of organic ingredients!'
And this: “Always wonderful!” Thank you for sharing this with us. “I want to try it!!!”
Some said it was – literally – unattainable: 'I wish I could try.' I live in the Midwest.'
Most of Erewhon's smoothies (which can be topped with ice cream) are around 700 calories, but the company doesn't list the calorie count on its website.
The drink contains collagen, which improves skin health, and elderberry, which is taken as a supplement to treat cold and flu symptoms.

There was no mention of how much sugar was in it.

When Hailey Bieber introduced a smoothie, it cost $18. And when Kourtney Kardashian did it, it was $17.
The drink is really healthy and contains collagen, which promotes youth.
Tom Brady's ex-wife teamed up with Gaia Herbs for the drink. She is their “wellness ambassador”.
It's called Giselderberry Boost Smoothie with Black Elderberry Syrup from Gaia Herbs.

The 43-year-old supermodel and wellness enthusiast – who stars in Frame's latest campaign – looked chic in a charcoal gray blazer over a gray sweater.
The former Victoria's Secret Angel rolled up the sleeves of her jacket and paired the look with a pair of blue jeans.
Her outfit was completed with a pair of simple white sneakers and she looked typically stunning with her peach makeup.
The Brazilian beauty wore her long hair down.
It can now be purchased at all Erewhon locations, via the Erewhon app and via UBER.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Rodale Institute, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the regenerative organic agriculture movement through rigorous research, farmer training, and education.
The ingredients are: coconut milk, coconut meat, banana, açaí, dates, almond butter, lucuma, unflavored vegetable protein and vanilla collagen.
