(CNN) – Gisele Bündchen has found her footing amid the “curve balls” she has faced in recent years, including after her divorce from soccer legend Tom Brady.
“It was very difficult for my family. It’s been very hard, in all areas of my life,” the model said in a new interview with People magazine published this Monday.
“I feel like every time it rains it pours. With all the twists and turns that life brings, we can only do the best we can given what is going on around us,” he added.
Those twists and turns include homeschooling the two children she shares with Brady — Ben, 13, and Vivian, 10 — during the pandemic, multiple moves to new homes, caring for her ailing parents and, most importantly, the end of her marriage.
The former couple jointly announced in October 2022 that they were divorcing after 13 years of marriage, and both stressed that co-parenting their children was a priority.
Bündchen and her children have since settled in Miami, where she said they returned to public schools, pursued new hobbies and thrived.
“I am proud to see how they develop into individual people, but how strong their principles and values are. It makes me very happy to see them blossom into their own beings,” she said.
The supermodel has also found solace in the wellness space and emphasizes self-care through meditation, exercise and healthy eating to find balance.
“I think if I didn’t have all the tools to help me right now, it would have been very difficult,” he said.
