Gisele Bündchen's mother, Vania Nonnenmacher, has reportedly died at the age of 75.
Brazilian news agency GZH reports she died in hospital on Sunday after a battle with cancer.
According to the medium, she was admitted to the Moinhos de Vento hospital in Porto Alegre, Brazil, for treatment.
Nonnenmacher was the mother of six girls: Rafaela, Graziela, Gabriela and Raquel as well as Gisele and her twin sister Patricia.
The supermodel originally wanted to become a professional volleyball player, but in 1993 her mother enrolled her and her sisters Patricia and Gabriela in a modeling course to teach them posture and give them some confidence.
After the course ended, the girls were rewarded with a trip to Rio de Janeiro, where Bündchen was discovered in a shopping center by Elite Model Management.
Earlier this month, the 43-year-old Brazilian beauty opened up about her parents' health while promoting her upcoming cookbook, “Nourish: Simple Recipes to Empower Your Body and Feed Your Soul.”
Speaking to Harpers Bazaar, Bündchen, who shares children Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, with her ex-husband, retired NFL star Tom Brady, revealed that she changed her diet after watching her Parents struggled with health problems.
“I want to live as long as possible and feel as good as possible, but to achieve that I have to make decisions today,” she explained.
“You can have all the money in the world. If you don’t have your health, you can’t buy it back.”
She kicked off the new year by sharing a rare snap with all five of her sisters in a sweet roundup of family photos.
“Reconnect with what matters ❤️ sending love and wishing everyone a happy and blessed 2024!” she captioned an Instagram post.
In one of the pictures she posed with mom Vânia and dad Valdir as well as her five sisters Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Rafaela and Patricia, her fraternal twin sister.
The wellness guru has reflected on her happy childhood in the past.
In her 2018 memoir, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life,” she wrote about having the “best childhood in the world.”
“When I grew up in Horizontina, [Brazil]There were six of us sitting at the dinner table, six voices rising to talk, laugh or disagree at the same time,” she wrote.
“One day my father made a rule: If one of us had something to say, we had to raise our hand.”
A representative for the former Victoria's Secret model did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment.
