Grammy-winner Jeff Lynne – co-founder of the Electric Light Orchestra – was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame after an induction by Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, who later performed Don’t Bring Me Down in his honor.
The 75-year-old Englishman also performed his 1977 song Mr. Blue Sky during the ceremony.
