The angel – Mexican singer Gloria de los Ángeles Treviño Ruiz, known as Gloria TreviHe has filed a countersuit against his former manager Sergio Gustavo Andrade Sánchez in the Supreme Court of the US state of California, the law firm Brown Rudnick LLP reported on Thursday.
The countersuit consists of nine counts, including sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and was filed in response to a lawsuit filed last year by two women against her and Andrade over allegations of sexual abuse.
Trevi, represented by Camille M. Vásquez of Brown Rudnick LLP, “is committed to seeking justice and holding those responsible accountable,” the firm said in a statement.
“Through these legal actions, Gloria Trevi hopes to shed light on the alleged irregularities and ensure that the truth comes to light. “For many years, she has chosen to remain silent about the horrific abuse she suffered at the hands of Andrade in order to avoid reliving the horrific experiences and, most importantly, to protect her children and family.”contains the text.
He added that the actress “files this counterclaim with great sadness due to the constant attacks and false accusations against her.”
After an eleven-year successful career selling millions of records and three films, Trevi was arrested along with Sergio Andrade in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2000, where she spent three years in prison.
