Walton Goggins (“Justified”), Patrick Schwarzenegger (“Gen V”), Aimee Lou Wood (“Sex Education”), Sarah Catherine Hook (“First Kill”) and Sam Nivola (“Maestro”) have landed the last big roles in the upcoming Thailand-set third season of Mike White's “The White Lotus” series on HBO.
The five will be joined by returnee Natasha Rothwell, as well as Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, Christian Friedel, Morgana O'Reilly, Dom Hetrakul, Tayme Thapthimthong, Miloš Biković, Lek Patravadi and Shalini Peiris.
Set to begin filming in February in and around Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand, the film will follow a new group of multi-generational guests at another White Lotus property.
Characters include “a patriarch, a female executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, a country club wife, an outsider and a yogi.” Hook plays the outsider, Schwarzenegger the financier.
According to White, the new season will explore “death in Eastern religion and spirituality” from a year ago. He recently spoke of a “supersized” season that would be “longer, bigger, crazier.”
Due to strike-related delays affecting production, the new season is expected to begin in 2025.
