Friday night’s Gogglebox took an emotional turn as viewers broke down in tears as they watched a mother give birth to an unresponsive baby.

The Gogglebox stars watched a clip from Emma Willis: Delivering Babies which showed couple Ololade and Adekunle excitedly preparing to welcome their third child via a planned caesarean.

However, things took a turn for the worst with the little one not breathing after the difficult birth, leading to fan and former Love Island star Shauna Phillips tweeting that she was “crying my eyes out”.

In the scenes, mother Ololade was cut open, but doctors soon discovered that her baby was lying across her uterus – which reportedly happens in less than one percent of cases.

Doctors then scrambled to get the baby out and it turned out there was a lot of blood, with nurses on the sidelines looking concerned.

Then, when the little boy was finally outside, he seemed unresponsive, with Gogglebox’s Jenny Newby pleading: “Oh please be alright.”
