The Golden Globes are back on Sunday (January 7) with a stunning televised ceremony.
The annual awards show, held in Beverly Hills, has been pushed into the background in recent years after a 2021 Los Angeles Times investigation found that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (the awards show's voting body) did not have a single Black member.
However, this year the Globes are back in their usual Sunday slot on CBS and are hoping to gain viewers again. The starry ceremony will be broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel and hosted by comedian Jo Koy.
On Friday, the Globes announced its full list of award winners, including Dua Lipa, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Banks, Jared Leto, Jodie Foster and more.
Films competing for trophies at the 2024 ceremony include Barbie, which leads with eight nominations, followed by Oppenheimer (eight), Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things (seven each).
Stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie, Emma Stone and Cillian Murphy are expected to hit the runway from 2pm Pacific Time (10pm GMT). The ceremony will then begin at 5:00 p.m. PT (1:00 a.m. GMT).

Which films are nominated for the “Best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement” award?
Admittedly, this category has its critics.
The Independent's Adam White wrote in his article about the Golden Globes predictions: “First of all: haha. Introducing a category explicitly designed to reward films for making a ton of money is one of the Globes' lamest decisions in recent years. And there were a lot of lame decisions!”
Ouch. Still, someone has to take the statuette home for movie money! Here is the list of nominees:
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
The Super Mario Bros. movie
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour
